KLEINARL - VACATIONS IN THE SALZBURGERLAND :
In winter, Kleinarl can truly be said to have arrived as a ski village, set in the heart of the Salzburg Sports World. The Kleinarl Valley is sunny, free of the fogs you often encounter in the mountains, and sheltered from the prevailing winds. In recent years, it has undergone development which has turned it into a veritable skiers' paradise with something for everyone's taste. 3 cabin lifts, 1 six-seater chair lift, 2 four-seater chair lifts, 1 three-seater chair lift, 6 double chair lifts and 13 tows, will transport you up into the Salzburg Sports World, the skiing paradise of Kleinarl- Flachauwinkl- Zauchensee at elevations beyond 2,200 metres above sea level. Back in the valley, a bunny lift is available for beginners to use. 

Aside from skiing, Kleinarl has many other activities to offer: a 20 km-long cross-country ski loop out to the Jägersee Nature Preserve and 30 km of cleared winter hiking paths. Tobogganing expeditions serve up lots of wintertime fun, as do horse-drawn sleigh rides and ice stick tournaments.

And in addition to a broad selection of sports, our rustic skiers' huts, cozy coffee houses, discos, outdoor bars, dance evenings, heritage evenings and top-flight restaurants, ensure an unforgettable après-ski atmosphere.

Kleinarl offers every one of its guests - whether big or small, young or old, families or singles - in addition to hikes and tours of the mountains, all kinds of other opportunities to enjoy a vacation that's literally made to measure.  
The most popular excursions are out to the shores of the Jäger- and Tappenkar lakes. Located only a few kilometres outside of Kleinarl, the Jägersee is just a short hike away. The Tappenkarsee - the largest mountain lake in the Eastern Alps - is both a popular excursion destination, as well as a trail head for tours to the high peaks of the Niedere and Hohe Tauern mountains.  

Following 20 km of cycle paths, the recreational cyclist is free to work off some excess energy exploring our romantic Alpine world. For older aficionados of horseback riding, Kleinarl offers a challenging practice course, while the younger horse lovers can enjoy a fun pony ride. And those who would prefer not to mount a "mighty steed", might prefer to try their hand at tennis or golf. A special draw for our younger guests is Kleinarl's AdventureLand. For kids ages 5-15, we offer fun, games, excitement and, more than anything, not a moment of boredom. If you're the kind of person who can think of nothing better than being in or around the water, we recommend the "Amade World of Water" - located in neighboring Wagrain. This all-weather swimming facility is truly beautiful and offers everyone their own personal aquatic El Dorado.
